Hot and spicy thokku using coriander leaves / Kothambari soppu.
This Kothamalli thokku or cilantro thokku is very easy to make and you can store it for months in refrigerator. You can mix this thokku with rice and it is tasty lunch box dish.
Ingredients:
2 big bunch of coriander leaves, wash and keep it ready. use the stem if it is tender
big lemon size tamarind (you can soak in water)
¼ tsp hing / asafetida( for gluten free option use GLUTEN FREE Asafetida/ hing)

¾ to 1 cup water
1 to 2 tsp jaggery (optional)
Seasoning:
3 to 4 tbsp oil
½ tsp mustard seeds
2 tsp split black gram / urad dal
8 to 12 guntur red chillies( more or less)
