Alignment:
- Feet 3 feet apart, front heel lined up to middle of back arch
- Armpit and ribcage touching front leg
- Neck relaxed
How to work in the pose:
- Start with front knee bent to get armpit and ribcage touching leg
- Front toes up and anchor down thru ball of big toe
- Tuck tailbone, pointing it toward back foot
- Work toward straightening front leg keeping ribcage touching leg!
- Engage back leg by anchoring through back heel
- Inhale telescope ribs forward along leg, pull shoulder blades down
- Exhale lay back over leg, rolling shoulder open
Variations/Modifications:
- Can always substitute regular triangle if back doesn't feel good
- For hamstring injuries, substitute Warrior Interlock
- For shoulder injuries (if this doesn't feel good), unclasp hands
